“After 25 years working as a social worker in a crisis-driven practice, I was burned out emotionally, mentally, and physically. Add marriage and life challenges to the mix, and I was miserable. I knew I needed help but didn’t know where to turn or what to do.
I first heard Lindsay speak at a conference and immediately felt that this could be the answer I had been searching for. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to attend a weekend retreat with Lindsay in McCall, and it became a truly transformative experience.
From the moment I arrived, Lindsay created a deeply personalized and supportive environment. There was never any pressure — everything moved at my own comfortable pace. Lindsay is incredibly intuitive and used her skill, experience, and body therapies to give me exactly what I needed most. She also taught me practical tools that I could continue using every day long after the retreat ended.
I left the weekend feeling lighter, calmer, and more at peace with myself and the world around me. I truly believe the combination of EMDR therapy and Lindsay’s Body Fusion work created a powerful healing experience unlike anything I had experienced before. It reinforced for me the real connection between the mind and body.
Now, more than a month later, I continue to notice meaningful changes in my life. One word I keep using is “calm.” I no longer feel the constant urgency, stress, or tension that used to follow me both at work and at home. I am happier, less irritable, and more like myself again.
Lindsay’s work helped transform my life at a time when I desperately needed support. I am incredibly grateful for the care, healing, and tools she provided, and I will absolutely continue returning for “tune ups” in the future.

Thank you both for being such an important piece of my life. You have no idea how much you mean to me.
Before this retreat, I had never done anything like it. I was hesitant at first and honestly nervous because I did not know what to expect. I was stepping into something completely unfamiliar, staying overnight in someone else’s home, being cared for, and allowing myself to receive help in a way I had never really experienced before. I did not realize how unfamiliar it would feel to be welcomed and treated with such gentleness. But Lindsay and Dan made me feel comfortable, safe, and cared for. Lindsay created a space where I felt safe enough to soften, open up, and begin seeing parts of myself that I had not fully understood before.
The experience was life-changing. I came away feeling different, closer to who I am, and more connected to my identity, my body, my soul, and my purpose. I also came away with a deeper understanding of the pain I have carried for so many years and the true devastation it has caused, not only mentally and emotionally, but physically. I could feel how much my life experiences had left an impression on my body.
One of the most powerful parts of the retreat was recognizing how disconnected I had become from myself, and then feeling that connection begin to return. I am Native American and Shoshone-Paiute, and that part of who I am became especially meaningful during this experience. A lot of my family is gone now, and I have been thinking more deeply about what it means to carry their stories, their strength, and their presence forward. In our culture, stories matter. Our connection to past generations matters. So does our responsibility to future generations. This retreat helped me feel that in a way I had not fully felt before. I felt closer to my grandmother, my ancestors, nature, and the earth. I also felt reminded that healing is not just personal. It is connected to lineage, family, culture, and the people who come after us.
That has also affected the way I show up for my children. I want to parent differently than what I was taught and what I grew up with, but it is hard to break cycles when you do not always know another way. Lindsay gave me tools I could bring home and use with my kids, and I have started implementing them in our daily life. I feel closer to my children because of it. I feel more present with them, more intentional, and more aware of the kind of love, safety, and connection I want to give them.
I went into the retreat having struggled for years with nightmares and night terrors. I do not know if the retreat is directly connected, but I can honestly say that since I came home, I have not had one. That alone has felt profound. More than anything, I came away with a sense that something inside me had shifted. I felt more present, more grounded, and more able to see my own potential.
Since the retreat, I have continued using some of the grounding and self-care practices Lindsay encouraged. I practice what I learned every day, and I created a small space in my home with things that are meaningful to me. The Body Fusion materials helped me understand this experience in a deeper way, especially the focus on healing through the spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical layers, as well as the chakra work around grounding, truth, love, intuition, and personal power. The retreat helped me feel those ideas in my body, not just think about them.
I cannot thank Lindsay and Dan enough for the gift they gave me: the power to see, the power to understand, and the courage to do something with it. This experience helped me reconnect with myself, my children, my ancestors, and the life I am trying to build.
I would be deeply grateful to be considered for a scholarship for another retreat. The first retreat helped me begin healing in a way I had never experienced before, but I know there is still more work to do. I still struggle with PTSD, grounding, and being fully present in my body, and I believe another retreat would help me continue this work with more openness and trust now that I understand the process better. A second retreat would allow me to go deeper, continue learning the practices Lindsay introduced, and keep building the courage, clarity, and groundedness I need in my life. This work has already helped me feel more connected to myself, my children, my culture, my ancestors, and my purpose. I would be honored to continue that healing in the fall. Thank you for your consideration and kindness.
Thank you,
